Measuring of worm shafts

The worm shafts are measured on a modern CMM gear measuring machine, which is located in an air-conditioned measuring room. The machining programs on the machine tools are corrected where necessary according to the measurement results, resulting in a closed information loop between the machine tool and the measuring machine. This reduces production errors to a minimum and ensures the required quality. Special measurements can be made with the worm shafts:

• profile configuration
• tooth trace configuration
• concentricity
• pitch
• measurement over/under balls/pins
